The holiday season is officially here, and where better to spend it than on the beautiful New Jersey coastline?

If you’re looking for a tree lighting ceremony to get you in the holiday spirit, chances are you can find one nearby. The towns we call home embrace the holidays in charming fashion, with fun-filled events throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Here are your 2015 tree lightings, Menorah lightings and early-season festivities in the area:

December 3rd, 7 p.m.
Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Hosted by Independent Fire Company #1, with special guest, SANTA CLAUS. Refreshments following ceremony.

Manasquan
December 4th, 6 p.m-8 p.m.
Tree Lighting & Candy Cane Hunt
Squan Plaza & Business District

Annual tree lighting followed by a candy cane hunt for the kids to enjoy.

Point Pleasant Borough
December 4th, 5 p.m.
Tree Lighting
Community Park

Free pictures with Santa and goodies for the children, horse and carriage rides, live local music, and a special holiday light show spectacular.

Bay Head
December 4th, 5th & 6th
Christmas Walk
Various Locations

Three straight days of holiday cheer, including Santa’s arrival, entertainment, fire truck rides, horse and carriage rides, and a holiday ice sculpture.

Howell
December 8th, 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Christmas Tree & Menorah Lighting Ceremony
Municipal Building

Music and singing, hot drinks, goodies, Visit with Santa, and take your picture inside a giant snow globe.

Wall Township
December 4th, 6 p.m.
Holiday Tree Lighting & Fireworks
Town Hall

Fireworks, Christmas carols, refreshments, local performances, and a visit from Santa, organized by the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.

Brick
December 7th, 4:15 p.m.

December 8th, 5:30 p.m.
Tree Lighting Ceremony

Christmas caroling led by Brick High School Chorus; Santa visits with the kids.
