Making sure our community remains a great place to live starts with recycling. It’s the easiest way to make a big difference for our environment and for our children’s future. If you don’t think recycling paper is important, consider this:
For every ton of paper recycled, 17 trees, 7,000 gallons of water, 3 cubic yards of landfill space, 2 barrels of oil and 4,100kw hours of electricity are saved. (epa.gov)
The average American uses 650 pounds of paper during each year. (wm.com)
Where It Ends Up.
40 percent of all waste going to landfills is paper. (greenliving.lovetoknow.com)
