Manasquan Savings Bank raises money for the Childhood Leukemia FoundationApril 1, 2012

During the month of April, Manasquan Savings Bank set up a fundraiser to help support the Childhood Leukemia Foundation. The foundation is a national non-profit organization that provides a myriad of services, totally free of charge, to children battling cancer and their families. Their mission is to educate, empower and raise awareness as well as the necessary funds to support programs that benefit children living with cancer.

All eight branches of Manasquan Savings Bank received donations from both customers and employees for the foundation. Customers we’re encouraged to donate a minimum of one dollar for the cause. They received a large number of donations during the month of April, many of which were for much more than one dollar.

“It’s really wonderful to see everyone coming together to help out,” says Alan Stuart, Manasquan Savings Bank SVP and Branch Administrator. “We loved having the opportunity to raise money for such a great cause and we want to thank everyone who donated,” added Mr. Stuart.

The foundation made a special thank you in its newsletter thanking them for lending a “helping hand.” The newsletter went on to thank the bank and their customers for their generosity and stating, “CLF will be able to serve many more children through its Wish Basket program.”
