Manasquan Bank takes our responsibility to protect the personal information of our customers extraordinarily seriously. We understand that we are stewards of your accounts and will always take whatever measures are necessary to safeguard your information and your accounts.
We are acutely aware of the WCBS news story about ATM skimming featuring a fraud scheme which targeted many financial institutions including Manasquan Bank.
As a valued customer please be aware that we proactively and aggressively addressed the issue. Additionally you should know the following:
- At no time was any of our customers personal information compromised.
- We have taken additional measures to detect any skimming devices on all of our ATMs (visual checks and alarms).
- None of our customers experienced a financial loss and in fact only a small number of fraudulent transactions were conducted. In each of those cases the Bank took full responsibility for any monetary loss.
