Retail Branch Manager
Ocean Township

Responsible for managing a branch office, including the direct supervision of all personnel; developing new retail and commercial customer relationships and expanding existing ones by effective sales and service; cross-selling of Bank products and services to customers and prospective customers, through weekly outside calling program, including loan products: accepting and closing loan applications, both retail and commercial.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cross sell Bank products and services. Motivate and drive entire Branch Team to meet/exceed incentive plan goals.
  • Oversee and provide necessary leadership to Branch personnel.
  • Open new accounts.
  • Assist and educate prospective borrowers with the completion of loan applications.
  • Pre-qualify prospective borrowers; act as main point of contact during loan underwriting process and through loan closing.
  • Prepare account loans.
  • Public Relations: Actively participates in community events to increase the Bank’s visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities, to include leadership roles such as Board membership/Leadership and Committee leadership.
  • Responsible for branch security.
  • Responsible for supervising building maintenance (including any free-standing drive-in or ATM kiosk as may be applicable).
  • Coordinate and oversee Teller, CSR, Universal Banker and Retail Assistant Branch Manager training.
  • Initiate and confirm wire transfers.
  • Prepare loan payoff statements.

VP, Secondary Market Manager
Wall Township

Responsible for creating and managing investor relations to allow seamless and continuous placement of loans originated by the bank. Develops, negotiates and formalizes contracts with new investors as well as ensures existing contractual obligations are met. Markets mortgage packages to individual investors, GSEs (Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae), and agencies, including FHA/VA and Ginnie Mae to generate revenue.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pricing and positioning purchases and sales of mortgage product. Collaborates on the day-to-day mortgage whole loan pricing, MBS pricing and rate sheet monitoring. Ensures that product is originated at levels consistent with senior management guidelines and rigorous pricing and valuation analysis is applied to decisions.
  • Participates in the formulation of tactics and strategy for Portfolio Management and identifies best execution strategies for mortgage loan pricing, the timing of acquisition and sales in accordance with Bank guidelines and overall business strategy.
  • Makes strategic and tactical recommendations to senior management based on mortgage and debt market conditions and current balance sheet risk position.
  • Collaborates on the creation and distribution of rate sheets and monitoring of interest rates.
  • Manage the position of the loan inventory and pipeline in accordance with delivery commitments, funding, and accounting considerations.
  • Keeps abreast of current market trends, regulatory and legislative changes, licensing regulations and reporting requirements as it pertains to secondary marketing strategies.

  • Design models and reports that provide performance information for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of current processes.

Job Specifications

  • Working knowledge of industry standard mortgage analysis tools and techniques, critical and creative thinking that results in sound decisions.
  • Strong computer skills required including spreadsheet skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and accurately in verbal and written format. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in a pleasant, cooperative, and timely manner with internal and external personnel at all levels.

Education/Experience

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 7-10 years in managing the Secondary Marketing function of a Mortgage Banking or Capital Markets group. Must be familiar with mortgage valuation analytics, mortgage and fixed-income relative value analytics and have well-grounded quantitative methods.
  • Experience in capital markets with in depth knowledge of capital markets, trading acumen and dealer relationship management.
