Retail Assistant Branch Manager
Metuchen, NJ

**Please note that this position will be a direct hire for Metuchen Bank, a division of Manasquan Bank.**

Provides back-up support to the Retail Branch Manager and assists in the smooth, efficient operation of the retail branch such as supervising Universal Bankers and Tellers; developing new customer relationships and expanding on existing relationships by effective sales and service; cross selling of the Bank’s product and services to customers and prospective customers. Actively participates in community events with the Retail Branch Manager to increase the Bank’s visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities, accepting loan applications, both retail and business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Branch Manager in leading the branch personnel in the achievement of growth, sales targets, profitability, customer retention objectives and leading the branch team to meet/exceed incentive goals.
  • Provide backup support to the Retail Branch Manager to ensure adequate coverage, efficient service and smooth branch operation. Learn all aspects of retail branch management by assisting and observing the Retail Branch Manager in the performance of essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Provide personalized banking services to current and prospective customers, consistently seeking to expand customer relationships and provide the highest level of quality customer service.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend/sell appropriate bank products and services.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to Universal Bankers, Teller staff and other branch personnel in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. Assist in the ongoing coaching and counseling of Universal Bankers, Teller staff and other branch personnel to facilitate employee development.
  • Participate with Retail Branch Manager on personnel issues, corrective action, including recruiting, hiring, scheduling and performance management. Actively participates in the preparation and administering of performance evaluations.
  • Travel throughout branch network as required ensuring adequate branch coverage.
  • Open new accounts.
  • Assist prospective borrowers; act as main point of contact during loan underwriting process, prepare loan payoff statements and close loans.
  • Prepare account loans.
  • Public Relations: Actively participates in community events to increase the Bank’s visibility and garner new banking relationships.
  • Initiate and confirm wires.
  • Take business loan applications, gather all necessary documents for underwriting, act as main point of contact during loan underwriting process and close business loans.

Outside Loan Officer
Metuchen, NJ

Solicit and service consumer leads for residential mortgage and consumer loans. Developing external lead sources and relationships with borrowers is strongly encouraged to maximize potential referral sources.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops mortgage/home equity leads into fully executed applications.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of all products, services, and fees.
  • Reviews documentation submitted by applicants and determines if acceptable for processing for the loan program requested.
  • Inputs loans into processing software and downloads into system.
  • Sends loans through automated underwriting engines, when necessary.
  • Fosters relationship building with internal and external customers to market Bank wide products and services.
  • Develops strong relationships with the retail branch to facilitate referrals through active participation in periodic sales interactions with branch staff, scheduling appointments to take place in the branch when possible, and scheduling time to be available for appointments in the branch location.
  • Keeps current on all Institution’s products and services to cross-sell when appropriate
  • Completes all required in-house and external training to keep current on regulatory and industry changes
  • Understands, adheres, monitors and takes action as required to ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures and external Federal and State regulations

Job Specifications

  • At a minimum, meets average monthly mortgage sales goals as established for position.
  • Converts inquiries and leads into quality mortgage applications.
  • Prepares completed applications for approval according to MPF/FNMA/ FHLMC, and secondary market investor guidelines.
  • Obtains and reviews all supporting documentation for loan files. Interacts with borrowers and processing staff to resolve issues.
  • Responds to customers’ inquiries relating to mortgage and consumer loan rates and programs, in accordance with defined Bank underwriting guidelines and processing and closing policies.
  • Maintains continual contact with all involved parties to facilitate loan processing and foster long-term relationships with the Bank.
  • Attends external events to promote the Bank’s products and services.
  • Performs other duties as directed by management.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in mortgage lending with a concentration in mortgage sales
  • Working knowledge of TRID Rules under Regulation Z, extensive knowledge of industry regulations and practices and secondary mortgage market requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, organizational and time management skills required.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office along with PC skills for inputting applications and system tracking required.

Internal & External Contact:

  • This position requires frequent external contact with the borrowing public. Is required to establish relationships with title companies, attorneys, and real estate professionals. Internal contacts are with departmental coordinates.
  • Performs sales calls from lead generation sources.
  • Required to participate in outside civic organization to help support the Bank’s community image.

Technical Support Engineer
Wall Township

Performs the day-day operations involved with technical project support and information technology related user/system support including, phone support, technical installations, technical requirements and distributed computer services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls requiring assistance with computer related problems.
  • Troubleshoot network related issues relating to operating systems, Microsoft Office, anti-virus, anti-spyware, and other network systems.
